Polo's health problems
Our Rankin's (Lawson's) Dragon, Polo, has been listless since mid-October; he came our home in September, and back then he was frolicking in his cage and would eat at the first sight of a cricket. Lately he has diarrhea, bloody stools, often meditates, and has a decreased appetite, etc. Now when the crickets come, they don't want to eat at all. That’s going on.
His weight has dropped from 62 grams to 57 grams in a month, which makes us very anxious. We feel sorry for her, and We're wondering if We're not raising her properly, so We're looking like online and so on for any information that will help me. We tried everything to do something about it, such as making the busking light stronger, placing lava stones, and making the hiding place bigger, but it was still getting weak. We decided to take him to the hospital to discuss this with a specialist.
Polo's first hospital visit
Although the doctor was not a specialist in exotic animals, the doctor did his best to examine me with a book in hand, taking x-rays and palpation. As a result, it was clear from this visit that there was nothing wrong with the bones. We just don't know why Polo's not feeling well. In the meantime, We was given lactobacillus, supplements, and a syringe-like device for force-feeding. The doctor said that if Polo enlarged his stomach with force-feeding, his appetite might return.

We think that force-feeding would be stressful for Polo, so we really didn't want to do it too much, but we did our best to keep going. He struggles at first to open his mouth. Even though he was biting my hand, I opened his mouth to feed him, and he started to eat the food quietly.
The other thing we were concerned about as much as possible was sun exposure. We did our best to increase the amount of time we were exposed to natural light. After two weeks, Polo's weight went from 57 grams to 64 grams, and he's been running more often than before, and he's not closing his eyes as much. He still had diarrhea and bloody stools, so he went to the hospital to have a stool examination. The results showed no parasites and he was getting better, so we decided to continue the current treatment. But we have to do something about the bloody stool… We will do the best for Polo will get well.
